Position: RN, Cardiac Imaging
Location: Elmhurst Hospital
Part Time, 32 hours per week
Day shift with a rotating schedule, typically Tuesday–Saturday, 7:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m.
Position includes on-call responsibilities and rotating weekend coverage.

Responsibilities

→Perform stress testing.
→Conduct patient assessment and collect health data involving the patient, family and other healthcare providers.
→Develop and communicate an individualized plan of care, evaluate patient progress and document patient health data, interventions and communications.
→Provide assistance to technical staff with injection of contrast, venipuncture, administration of medications, oxygen therapy and IV management.
→Provide individualized patient and family education based on assessed learning needs.
→Participate in performance improvement activities and nursing research and remain current on research and practice trends in cardiac diagnostic testing through professional networking, ongoing education and self-directed learning.
→Support staff in using research and providing evidence-based care and contribute to the professional development and clinical education of peers, students and other healthcare providers.
→Comply with HIPAA regulations and assist in transporting acutely ill patients as needed.

→Education: Nursing Bachelor’s Degree preferred
→Certification: BLS, ACLS
→Experience: Cardiac Imaging
→Unique or Preferred Skills: Solid Critical thinking skills, Prior Stress testing experience preferred
