Job Purpose:
To contribute to the growth, performance and profitability by assisting in general work at site, plant, delivering of quality product and services on the bench and underground magazines OTIF (and PLTS where applicable) service by conforming to set standards and procedures.
Job Description:
•
To perform all daily tasks assigned in all plant processes and bulk material handling as per Operating
•
Instruction or Training Module
•
To perform all duties according to Safe Working Practice and SHE requirements in the open pit/underground, public roads, magazine and plant areas to ensure safety of operations and compliance.
•
To ensure the safe and correct handling of Initiation Systems, Packaged and Bulk Explosives.
•
To ensure good quality products are delivered to customers on time and in full.
•
To prepare checklist, fill logbook, record kilometers driven, and amount of diesel used within the week in the appropriate record books.
•
To ensure all deliveries are accompanied by an accounting system generated documents and must be signed at the receiving end and filed accordingly.
•
To ensure that explosive delivery vehicles conform to all the requirements as stipulated in the explosives’ regulation L.I 2177 and all additional measures put in place by the inspectorate division of the minerals commission before any delivery.
•
To perform any other duties within his/her competencies as the exigencies of the job require to ensure efficient and continuous business operations.
Qualification
•
Minimum of SSCE, NVTI, A’Level or equivalent
•
Advanced vocational training/qualification for a minimum of 1 year as a tradesman or in any field is desirable
•
Must have a valid Ghanaian driver’s license for driving delivery van on site.
•
Considerable communication skills (verbal and written)
