ABOUT THE ROLE

As Snr Brands, Events & CSR Officer, you will develop and execute brand strategies that drive the commercial success, visibility and market leadership of the BabyLove brand. You will lead the events and promotion teams and be responsible for developing and executing core brand events and promotions in line with our brand marketing roadmap. You will also lead impactful CSR initiatives to support mothers and babies. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a passion for brand storytelling and a track record of successful community-based projects.

 

HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE

Brands

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive brand strategy that reinforces our company’s mission and values.
  • Ensure brand consistency across all channels, including product packaging, marketing materials, digital platforms and events.
  • Monitor brand performance, consumer feedback and market trends to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
  • Work closely with marketing and product development teams to ensure all activities align with brand guidelines.
  • Develop and execute at least ONE consumer promotion per year, either to drive customer acquisition or increase usage.
  • Provide a post-promotion evaluation report at the end of each promotion.
  • Oversee the execution of multi-channel marketing plans, including digital advertising, social media, influencer partnerships, PR and customer engagement.
  • Manage content creation, photo/video shoots, and brand storytelling.
  • Carry out field monitoring and ensure that Outdoor and POS materials are in prime locations in the right channels and in the best state.
  • Maximize sales by implementing branded programmes including advertising, promotions, merchandising and publicity.
  • Overseeing the production of TV adverts, newspaper and magazine advertisements, email campaigns, websites, exhibition stands, road shows, and liaising with art designers, copywriters, media buyers, and printers.

 

Events Management

  • Plan, coordinate, and execute all company events, including product launches, promotional campaigns, trade shows and brand activations.
  • Manage event budgets, timelines, and logistics, including venue selection, vendor negotiation and staffing.
  • Develop event concepts and themes that align with brand messaging and marketing goals.
  • Conduct post-event analysis to measure success, gather feedback and report on key outcomes.
  • Collaborate with the marketing, sales and product teams to ensure events meet strategic objectives.
  • Develop our events and activations strategy in line with our  brand objectives.
  • Develop yearly brand events and activation plans to achieve overall marketing objectives.
  • Develop and share the periodic events calendar with marketing, sales, and the GTM teams.
  • Ensure marketing is regularly updated with competitor events and activation.
  •  Ensure timely reports for each event are circulated.
  • Monitor brand-sponsored programmes and campaign exploitation on Radio and TV, ensuring that these are on strategy.
  •  Carry out field monitoring and ensure that Outdoor and POS materials are in prime locations in the right channels and in the best state.
  • Manage the event agency to ensure all events are executed with excellence.
  • Coordinating the launch program with external customers as well as employees.
  • Representing the company at trade exhibitions, events and demonstrations.

 

Corporate Social Responsibility

  • Develop and implement the company's CSR strategy, focusing on areas such as maternal health, early childhood development and environmental sustainability.
  • Manage and coordinate community engagement programs, such as diaper donation drives, educational workshops for new parents, and partnerships with NGOs, hospitals and community centers.
  • Act as the primary liaison for all CSR-related partnerships and community relationships.
  • Create and manage the CSR budget, ensuring efficient use of resources.
  • Communicate CSR activities and impact to internal and external stakeholders through press releases, social media and the company website.
  • Monitor, measure and report on the effectiveness and impact of all CSR initiatives.

 

 

REQUIREMENTS

Educational Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Professional certifications are an added advantage.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive work experience in a role combining brand marketing, event management and/or CSR.
  • At least 3 years of consumer marketing experience within a Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) company.
  • Experience in the consumer goods or baby care industry is an advantage.
  • Demonstrable experience in planning and executing at least 3 major brand activations or public events from concept to post-event reporting.
  • Experience in the Ghanaian FMCG market is a strong advantage.

 

Technical Competencies

  • Integrated brand marketing. Proven ability to translate brand strategy into multi-channel campaigns that drive growth.
  • End-to-end event management. Planning and executing brand activations, trade shows and roadshows, including vendor negotiation, logistics and post-event ROI analysis.
  • Project management ability.
  • Creative, strategic thinker with a passion for community work and a commitment to the company's mission.
  • Digital and social media platforms proficiency (incl. PPT, Excel, Word, Instagram, Facebook)
  • Agency management skills.
  • Budget and resource control.
  • Research and analytical skills to interpret consumer feedback, market trends and promotion results to optimize future campaigns.
  • Valid Driver’s License with driving ability and willingness to travel frequently within Accra and to regional locations.
