We are seeking an experienced Financial Assistant to join our team in Germany (Frankfurt).

As a Financial Assistant, you will support our Property Accounting team in its day-to-day operations and help ensure smooth and efficient accounting processes. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the processing of incoming invoices, including OCR management, invoice review and coordination of approval workflows.
  • Following up on incorrect or incomplete invoices and coordinating necessary corrections with vendors and internal stakeholders.
  • Supporting bank accounting activities, including the preparation and booking of bank transactions.
  • Assisting with the tracking of Purchase Orders.
  • Supporting vendor set-up and maintenance of vendor master data in the accounting system.
  • Monitoring accounting-related mailboxes and coordinating requests with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Collecting, organizing and maintaining accounting documents and supporting documentation.
  • Supporting the Property Accounting team with recurring accounting and administrative activities.
  • Communicating with vendors, property managers, service providers and internal departments to resolve operational accounting matters.
  • Supporting the team during peak workload periods and contributing to the timely completion of recurring accounting processes.
  • Assisting with ad hoc administrative and finance-related tasks.

Requirements

  • Successfully completed commercial training or an equivalent qualification; a background in accounting or finance is an advantage.
  • Initial professional experience in accounting, finance administration or a comparable role is preferred.
  • Basic understanding of accounting processes, particularly accounts payable and invoice processing, is an advantage.
  • Good knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel and Outlook.
  • Experience with ERP or accounting systems is an advantage.
  • Structured, reliable and detail-oriented working style with a high level of accuracy.
  • Hands-on and proactive approach with the ability to manage recurring operational tasks independently.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills and confidence in dealing with different internal and external stakeholders.
  • Team player with a service-oriented mindset and willingness to support the wider Property Accounting team.
  • Excellent German language skills and good professional working knowledge of English.
