As our Junior Buyer, you'll play a key role in driving one of our largest and most dynamic apparel categories, partnering closely with Buying, Design, Planning and Production to deliver commercially successful collections that resonate with our customer. Working alongside an experienced Buying Manager, you'll help shape seasonal ranges across jersey tops, balancing trend, customer insights and trade performance to build compelling product assortments that deliver results.
This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially minded buyer to deepen their expertise within a high-volume, fast-paced category, gaining exposure to product development, fabric innovation, pricing strategy and range planning. You'll have the opportunity to influence the product lifecycle from concept through to launch, take ownership of key areas of the range, and play a meaningful role in driving both category growth and customer engagement.
- Build and develop commercially successful product ranges in collaboration with Design, Planning and Production teams.
- Analyse sales performance, customer trends and market insights to identify opportunities and influence buying decisions.
- Support category strategy and contribute to key commercial trading decisions that drive sales, profit and growth.
- Manage supplier relationships, cost negotiations and margin outcomes to maximise commercial performance.
- Oversee the product lifecycle from concept through to delivery, ensuring products are delivered on time and to the highest standard.
- Participate in fit sessions and collaborate closely with Design to create customer-focused collections.
- Work cross-functionally across multiple departments, building strong stakeholder relationships and influencing outcomes.
- Take ownership in a fast-paced environment where initiative, agility and commercial thinking are highly valued.
- Contribute to a high-growth area of the business, helping to shape future product categories and customer experiences.
- Work with elevated product, premium fabrications and unique design concepts to deliver commercially successful collection
Requirements
~1 min read- Previous experience as a Junior Buyer, or a high-performing Assistant Buyer ready for the next step.
- Strong understanding of the apparel buying cycle and critical path management.
- Commercially minded with the ability to interpret sales data and identify actionable insights.
- Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Confident communicator who can build effective relationships with suppliers and stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong problem-solving capability and ability to make informed decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Proactive, adaptable and solutions-focused approach.
- Passion for fashion, customer trends and delivering commercially successful product ranges.
