First Assistant Golf Professional

The First Assistant Golf Professional will be a key member of the opening Golf Operations team at Triple Stick Golf Club, helping establish its culture, experience and operating standards from the ground up. Reporting to the Head Golf Professional and working closely with the PGA National Resort Director of Golf, this individual will help translate the vision for Triple Stick into an intimate, refined and highly personalized private-club experience—one built around exceptional golf, genuine relationships, thoughtful service and a strong sense of belonging.

The successful candidate must combine a visible and engaging presence, strong operational discipline, exceptional communication skills and a genuine love of the game. Equally important will be a willingness to be hands-on, embrace responsibility, learn every aspect of the operation and consistently execute the standards expected of a premier private golf club. The Assistant Golf Professional will be expected to know the membership personally, anticipate needs and contribute to an environment where members and their guests feel genuinely recognized and connected to the Club.

This is a distinctive career-development and club-building opportunity to help launch a new private golf club while benefiting from the scale, resources and championship heritage of PGA National Resort. The First Assistant Golf Professional will work closely with the newly hired Head Golf Professional, Director of Golf Kevin Muldoon, and leaders throughout PGA National Resort to successfully open Triple Stick, establish its traditions and operating standards, and build a foundation for continued professional growth and increased leadership responsibility. The structure is to mentor, develop, and move our professional staff on in their careers or through the ranks at Triple Stick Golf Club or PGA National Resort.

• Working knowledge of Golf Genius and contemporary tee-sheet, point-of-sale, communications and reporting platforms.

• →Support the Head Golf Professional in the daily execution of Golf Operations at Triple Stick Golf Club, consistently delivering the Club's vision, operating standards and desired member experience.
• →Play an active role in operational readiness for the November 2026 opening, including training, standard operating procedures, service standards, member communications, temporary-facility operations and operational rehearsals.
• →Assist with daily staff deployment, scheduling, timekeeping and supervision while helping reinforce expectations, accountability and service standards throughout Golf Operations.
• →Deliver a highly personalized member experience built on recognition, proactive communication, availability and consistent professional presence throughout the member journey.
• →Assist with Golf Operations financial controls, including invoice processing, purchasing, inventory management, revenue tracking, expense management and other reporting responsibilities as assigned.
• →Consistently execute established operating standards, checklists, service audits and communication routines while identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
• →Maintain a highly visible presence as an ambassador for Triple Stick, regularly engaging members at arrival, in the golf shop, on the practice facilities, at the first tee and throughout the Club.
• →Support the Head Golf Professional and Director of Retail with retail operations, including merchandising, special orders, inventory controls, receiving, presentation and the transition into the permanent golf shop upon completion of the clubhouse.
• →Assist in the planning and execution of member golf programming, tournaments, events and traditions that create engagement, camaraderie and a strong sense of belonging.
• →Maintain close communication with Agronomy regarding course presentation, daily setup, practice-facility standards, traffic management, weather conditions and other information affecting the member experience.
• →Understand, communicate and consistently enforce Club policies governing access, attire, pace of play, golf carts, practice areas and conduct in a professional and member-focused manner.
• →Take ownership of exceptional setup, cleanliness, organization and presentation across arrival, outside operations, the first tee, practice facilities, comfort stations and all member touchpoints.
• →Support prospective-member visits and new-member onboarding by providing a polished introduction to the Club, its golf experience, traditions and operating procedures.
• →Assist with the training and development of Golf Operations associates and Outside Operations team members, helping reinforce established standards and expectations.
• →Participate actively in professional development opportunities, PGA education and cross-functional learning throughout PGA National Resort.
• →Cultivate strong, collaborative working relationships across Golf Operations, Club leadership and PGA National Resort.
