Position Summary
Location: Naval Station Mayport, Jacksonville, FL
Clearance: Active Secret clearance required at start of work
Citizenship: U.S. citizenship required
Work Hours: Monday-Friday, 0730-1630 local time, excluding federal holidays
Pivot Path is seeking a Junior Database Developer to support Naval Station Mayport in Jacksonville, FL with database development, reporting, workflow analysis, and metrics support. The role will focus on designing, creating, updating, and maintaining multi-user database and web-based tools that support Navy maintenance, readiness, training, and administrative operations.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Design and create databases for metrics analysis using Microsoft Access, SharePoint, SQL, VBA, HTML, MS Office, and similar tools.
- →Develop, update, and maintain databases used to track and report operational data metrics.
- →Collaborate with the Metrics Business Analyst, Subject Matter Experts, Chief of Staff, and Department Heads.
- →Support data analysis for maintenance, sustainment, Preventative Maintenance Availabilities, Operational Availability, Material Availability, Train to Qualify replacement sailors, and other operational needs.
- →Assist with workflow analysis and process improvement to reduce redundant work, rework, and duplicative data collection.
- →Develop qualitative and quantitative reports, graphs, charts, tables, dashboards, and other decision-support products.
- →Provide recommendations on database design, reporting tools, metrics, and business process improvements.
- →Support recurring status meetings and provide updates, recommendations, and barriers to success.
- →Assist with T2Q database cleanup, report development, maintenance database design, process flows, and weekly deliverables.
Requirements
~1 min read- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited U.S. college or university, or equivalent military/commercial experience in database development or a computer-related field.
- At least three years of specialized experience in database development and business analysis.
- Proven proficiency with MS Access, SharePoint, MS Office Suite, SQL, VBA, and HTML.
- Experience building and maintaining business applications.
- Strong oral and written English communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with Government personnel, analysts, SMEs, and leadership.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a team-oriented approach to problem solving.
