At Blueprint Title, we support nationwide escrow disbursement and post-closing operations with an emphasis on accuracy, compliance, and speed — protecting transaction funds and documents at every step. As our Escrow Assistant, you'll partner with the Post-Closing Manager, Escrow Officers, Operations, Title, and Finance teams to keep disbursements and recordings moving smoothly, with a strong focus on Texas transactions. This role is based on-site in Austin, Texas, with no remote or hybrid option; core hours will be confirmed with your manager.
You are someone with exceptional attention to detail and a track record of accurately reviewing data and resolving discrepancies. You bring:
- A High School Diploma or GED (required); Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred
- Experience working with Qualia (required)
- 1+ years of experience in a title, escrow, or closing environment
- Experience managing fiduciary funds, or an equivalent accounting background, preferred
- Working knowledge of BankUnited, a plus
- Proficiency with Qualia or similar title/escrow production software
- Familiarity with check processing, disbursement procedures, and banking portals
- The ability to read and interpret settlement statements and disbursement instructions
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to meet critical deadlines
- Effective written and verbal communication skills for coordinating with internal teams and external stakeholders
- The ability to maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive financial information
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)
- The ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and adapt in a fast-paced environment
- A proactive, reliable, and collaborative approach to work
- A current Texas Escrow License, or willingness to pursue licensure as part of accepting this role
Responsibilities

- →Process and coordinate outgoing escrow disbursements nationwide, with an emphasis on Texas transactions
- →Review settlement statements, closing documents, and disbursement instructions for accuracy
- →Prepare and process checks, wires, payoffs, and other transaction disbursements
- →Verify payees, amounts, supporting documentation, and required approvals before funds are released
- →Track pending disbursements and meet critical funding deadlines
- →Maintain accurate records of checks, wires, and disbursement activity
- →Identify and resolve discrepancies before funds are released
- →Follow company procedures for wire fraud prevention, identity verification, and handling escrow funds
- →Monitor the daily schedule of pending disbursements and proactively flag any delays or discrepancies
- →Coordinate with Escrow Officers, Operations, and Finance staff to resolve issues related to checks or disbursements
- →Perform quality control checks to confirm disbursement accuracy and compliance
- →Support additional disbursement-related duties as assigned
Post-Closing and Recording
- →Prepare and mail lender documents and other required post-closing documents
- →Coordinate mail-away recordings and ensure documents are properly prepared, sent, tracked, and returned
- →Monitor recording status and follow up on outstanding recording matters
- →Assist with post-closing document review and file completion
- →Maintain accurate records of documents sent for recording and returned recorded documents
- →Coordinate with Escrow Officers, Operations, Title, and Post-Closing teams to resolve outstanding matters
- →Ensure post-closing tasks are completed accurately and within required timelines
- →Other duties as assigned
