Prime Coalition empowers philanthropists to scale untapped climate solutions with precision and speed. By combining deep philanthropy expertise with rigorous, evidence-based climate impact assessment, Prime leverages philanthropic capital for outsized positive impact to advance climate mitigation, adaptation, and resilience.
Since its founding in 2014, Prime has deployed $108M in catalytic capital, crowded in $2.8B in external capital, and supported 58 companies. In tandem with catalytic investing, Prime also shares open-access tools, research, and resources that have supported more than 19,000 users worldwide. Together, these strategies enable philanthropy to scale the solutions humanity needs to thrive without the threat of climate change.
There is a great deal of charitable capital in this country that could be absorbing the risks that finance-first investors will not take on, and Prime is well positioned to close that gap. We are looking for a Director of Partnerships to grow the pool of philanthropic, catalytic capital available for Prime's investment opportunities, which happens through sustained relationships with high-net-worth individuals, DAF holders, family offices, and other philanthropists who want to use investment tools alongside their traditional grantmaking. This is a role for an experienced, outcomes-focused leader with the ambition to expand what Prime can do and the relational depth to keep that growth grounded in authentic partnership.
The ideal candidate understands both philanthropy and catalytic impact investing, and they can translate a complex climate investment prospect into something a partner can believe in. We are looking for someone energized by a challenge, steady in uncertainty, and experienced in leading teams while personally nurturing the highest-value relationships. This person leads with compassion and makes decisions rooted in data.
The Director will hold Prime's partnerships to a high standard of integrity and transparency. That means listening to what partners need, building durable pathways for collaboration, and making sure that what Prime learns is captured, safeguarded, and shared so the relationship management function continues to strengthen over time
