The non-exempt job classification is covered under The McNamara-O'Hara Service Contract Act (SCA). Service employees are compensated per the prevailing wage rates and fringe benefits that are set by the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) Wage and Hour Division's WDs 29 CFR Part 541 and 29 CFR 4.163(f).


  • Manage an 8+ man crew (Throughout Okinawa and offsite locations)
  • Prioritize and assign specific equipment to be serviced to both teams daily
  • Coordinate off-island service trips to include lodging, travel, equipment transportation, and logistics
  • Inspect serviced equipment to validate compliance with CPAC orders and directives.
  • Conduct daily and weekly Verification and Validation of Assessments and make appropriate corrections as needed
  • Submit daily production reports to the Team Lead for review
  • Assist Team Lead in conducting initial and continual training of all personnel to ensure understanding of CST operations and servicing requirements
  • Coordinate with Team Lead for equipment service schedule
  • Ensure daily maintenance and cleanliness of all GFE & CFE equipment
  • Assist Team Lead in ensuring road tax, insurance, and JCI's are current on CST vehicles.
  • Order, receipt, and place into stock all CPC's required ensuring not to run out of any product prior to order arrival
  • Ensure contract remains compliant to the requirements outlined in the Semi-Annual CPAC Inspection Checklist
  • Monitor and submit employee time sheets
  • In the absence of the Team Lead:
    • Conduct investigations and issue Employee Corrective Actions (ECA) in the absence of the Team Lead when company rules and regulations have been violated
    • Interview potential candidates for all vacancies
  • Understand and meet established productivity and quality control goals associated with assigned functional area / process
  • Follow established guidelines in performing day-to-day routine tasks as outlined in Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Technical Manuals, and Audit Readiness standards, etc.
  • Understand the Acceptable Performance Levels (APL's) associated with assigned functional work areas / process and work expeditiously to meet contractual and team goals
  • Adhere to government, contract, and company policies and procedures.
  • Ability to use e-mail to receive and disseminate workload tasks and information.
  • Maintain a safe and secure work environment
  • Perform other duties as assigned in association with established Management and Contract Compliance Plan, and workload requirements, etc.
  • Adhere to all PTi quality, safety, and environmental standards

  • The employee may be required to frequently handle equipment/supplies weighing up to 50 pounds individually and occasionally items weighing more than 50 pounds with assistance
  • Must be able to exert moderate physical effort in the loading, unloading, and arranging of equipment/supplies as applicable to position
  • Ability to work inside and/or outside in dirty and dusty environments, and occasionally be exposed to hot, cold, damp and drafty weather conditions while handling equipment/supplies
  • Be able to perform work on hard or uneven surfaces

Requirements

Experience:

  • Minimum two years specific experience as a Corrosion Service Technician or comparable work experience
  • Prior supervisory experience
  • Computer operating background, specifically in using Microsoft Office to include Word, Excel, and Access
  • Possess knowledge of Marine Corps equipment identification and basic function
  • Background in equipment maintenance, servicing, and accountability

Skills:

  • Must demonstrate the ability to read, write, and comprehend written instructions, perform common mathematical tasks, and communicate effectively. Demonstrated management, leadership, and communication skills (Oral and Written)
  • Effectively communicate orally with employees to realize production expected numbers while maintaining a high degree of quality of work
  • Adapt to environmental conditions to ensure workflow continues. (i.e., working in inclement weather, adjusting training when servicing cannot be accomplished, plan the week's service requirements, etc.)
  • Promote and maintain a high degree of morale and a harmonious working environment.
  • Meet all submission deadlines issued by the CPAC or Company Home Office

Certificate, License, Registration, etc.:

  • US Citizen
  • Must possess or be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance applicable to the position and/or military Common Access Card (CAC) within 30 days if required
  • Familiar with Marine Corps CPAC Data Base.
  • Familiar with CPAC V&V process.
  • Familiar with CPAC Assessment procedures.
  • Familiar with SOFA requirements.

  • 2- or 4-Year Degree in a related field of work.
  • 2-4 years holding and performing a management position in a related field of work
  • Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt)
  • Possess NACE certification
