Profound's AI Marketer joins that data with deep context about our customers to find the opportunities worth acting on, and then puts agents to work: automating reporting, drafting content, auditing pages for readability, running competitive research. As an iOS Engineer at Profound, you will build and own the native mobile experience that brings our AI Marketer to our customers' pockets. You will work closely with design, backend, and product to ship a fast, polished app that gives marketers visibility into their AI presence anywhere. This is a foundational role: you will set the technical direction for iOS at Profound from the ground up.

  Design, build, and ship new features for Profound's native iOS app, end to end

  Establish the architecture, tooling, and engineering standards for the iOS codebase

  Build fast, reliable interfaces for real-time data, dashboards, and reporting on mobile

  Partner with backend engineers to design APIs that serve mobile use cases well

• →

  Work closely with design to translate product requirements into polished, native experiences

• →

  Own app performance, stability, and release quality, including crash rates and load times

• →

  Implement push notifications, background refresh, and other native platform capabilities

• →

  Set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and App Store releases

  Write clean, well-tested, maintainable Swift code

• →

  Collaborate with product and customers to identify what mobile experiences matter most

  Stay current with Apple platform changes and adopt new APIs where they add real value

  Mentor future iOS hires as the team grows

• 5 or more years of professional experience building and shipping native iOS applications

• Strong proficiency in Swift and SwiftUI, with solid knowledge of UIKit

• Experience with iOS app architecture patterns, including state management and navigation

• Comfort working with REST APIs, JSON, and asynchronous networking

• Experience shipping apps through the App Store, including review, TestFlight, and release processes

• Familiarity with Apple's Human Interface Guidelines and a strong sense of product craft

• Experience with performance profiling and debugging tools like Instruments

• Comfort working in a fast-moving startup environment with shifting priorities

• Strong ownership mentality, from architecture decisions to shipped features

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate across design, product, and backend

• Genuine excitement about AI and its impact on how marketing teams work

• Growth mindset with comfort operating in ambiguity and rapid change

This is an on-site role in our NYC or SF office, designed for builders who thrive on speed, iteration, and meaningful impact. We are happy to support visa sponsorship for qualified international candidates.

For this role, the expected base salary range is $160,000 to $230,000 (NYC and SF). Comp may vary by location. Profound's total compensation package is designed to be competitive and includes base salary, equity, and a full range of benefits and perks. Final compensation will depend on factors such as your skills, experience, qualifications, and location, and will be determined during the interview process.
