Junior Accountant

A prominent group within the restaurant and franchise industry is seeking a detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join their finance team. This role provides essential support to the Management Accountant, focusing on the maintenance of accurate financial records and daily bookkeeping functions. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the integrity of the company’s financial data across multiple entities. Key Responsibilities Maintain precise records of all daily financial transactions using Xero software. Perform comprehensive bank reconciliations to ensure all incoming and outgoing funds are accounted for. Execute data entry tasks, gathering and verifying transaction details for various bank accounts. Manage the full function of the accounts receivable process, including the generation of invoices and diligent tracking of client payments. Oversee accounts payable by recording supplier invoices and assisting with the payment cycle. Compile and generate diverse financial reports to support internal reviews and management decision-making. Assist the Management Accountant with monthly closing procedures and administrative financial tasks as required. Requirements A completed Degree or Diploma in Accounting, Bookkeeping, Finance, or Auditing. Proven proficiency in using Xero accounting software for daily bookkeeping. Strong competency in Microsoft Excel for data manipulation and reporting. Exceptional attention to detail and a high level of numerical accuracy. Ability to manage high volumes of data entry with consistency. Previous experience or exposure to the restaurant, hospitality, or franchise sectors is advantageous.
