A leading industrial engineering and service organisation based in Cape Town is seeking a detail-orientated Supply Chain & Administration Intern for a 12-month fixed-term contract. This opportunity is ideally suited to a proactive graduate looking to launch a career within procurement, tender administration, and supply chain management. Working within the Customer Service team, the successful candidate will gain valuable hands-on experience facilitating requests for quotations, managing portal tracking, and executing key administrative processes. Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 17:00 (Standard Business Hours). Key Responsibilities: Monitor online procurement portals daily to identify relevant quoting and tender opportunities. Assist in drafting and completing Tender and Request for Quotation (RFQ) documents accurately and within set deadlines. Compile, verify, and cross-reference supporting documentation required for submissions. Maintain structured physical and digital record-keeping systems for all current and historical Tenders and RFQs. Follow up on submitted quotations and tenders in coordination with the Customer Service Team. Provide administrative support to the Customer Service department on daily client queries and workflows. Requirements Tertiary qualification (Degree or National Diploma) in Public Administration, Business Administration, Purchasing/Procurement Management, or Supply Chain Management. Strong organisational capabilities with meticulous attention to detail. Sound written and verbal communication skills. South African citizenship. Preferred Qualifications: Recent graduate status with no prior full-time corporate experience (ideal context for an internship development path). Required Software Skills: Microsoft Office Suite (Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook) Benefits Structured 12-month workplace training and professional development within an established engineering services firm.
