Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Procurement Engineer to manage sourcing, supplier relationships and purchasing activities for metallurgical equipment projects. The role requires close collaboration with engineering and production teams to ensure timely, cost-effective procurement and continuous supplier performance improvement.

Key Responsibilities

- Source, qualify and develop suppliers to meet project and quality requirements

- Issue and manage purchase orders; ensure on-time delivery and compliance with specifications

- Negotiate terms, pricing and contracts with vendors

- Drive cost-reduction and value-engineering initiatives

- Maintain and update vendor database and procurement records

- Work cross-functionally with engineering, production and quality teams to support project needs

Qualifications

- Degree in Engineering (mechanical or industrial preferred)

- 3–8 years' procurement experience in industrial or manufacturing environments

- Fluent in English; Italian language mandatory

- Experience working in China/Asia is a plus

- Familiarity with SAP or other ERP systems preferred
