CTO & Co-founder (Mervensa)

Mervensa is building an AI SaaS platform that helps enterprise sales teams win more complex deals through AI-powered deal intelligence. Our vision is to create the world's leading AI platform for enterprise sales teams — helping organisations improve every stage of the complex sales process through intelligent insights.

The product already has a substantial V1 MVP and a clear commercial vision. We are now focused on launching our first commercial product and building a world-class engineering team, alongside an experienced venture capital investor supporting the founding team and the company's growth.

This is a genuine founder/co-founder opportunity rather than a conventional CTO or freelance/subcontracting engagement. Working alongside the Founder & CEO, you will own the company's technology strategy, architecture, engineering and product delivery.

This is a highly hands-on role. In the early stages, you will write production code, review code, make architectural decisions and help deliver new functionality every week alongside the founder and a full-time developer. As the business grows, you will recruit, mentor and lead the engineering team while remaining closely involved in technical direction and product innovation.

We're looking for someone who enjoys building products, solving difficult technical problems, and creating exceptional software.

This is a full-time commitment. Candidates should not be operating another business in a similar operational capacity, though limited outside activities (e.g. weekend work, teaching, writing, passive shareholding) that don't affect the role may be acceptable.

This is a hybrid role, based in Tricity or Warsaw, with several days per week working from an office and flexibility to travel between locations. Close, day-to-day collaboration with the founding team is expected to accelerate product development, decision-making, and company building.

• Experience as a founding engineer or taking a product from 0 to 1,

• Strong B2B SaaS experience,

• Hands-on AI implementation experience or an AI-native way of working,

• Strong full-stack software engineering background,

• Excellent software architecture and cloud engineering experience,

• Experience leading engineering teams,

• Strong commercial awareness and product instincts,

• Fluent spoken and written English,

• Ability and willingness to commit full-time.
  

• Prior startup or scale-up experience,

• Genuine founder ambitions and comfort working in ambiguity,

• Experience using AI-enabled IDEs,

• Willingness to be based in, or relocate to, the Tricity area,

• Bachelor's degree.
