About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and highly organised Pharmaceutical Project Delivery Manager to lead the successful delivery of regulated pharmaceutical marketing, education and communications projects for UK-based and global pharmaceutical clients.

This role is ideal for a candidate with hands-on experience managing pharmaceutical or healthcare communications projects within a regulated environment. The successful candidate will act as the primary client-facing contact across multiple accounts, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, compliant with regulatory standards and aligned with client expectations.

The role requires a strong understanding of the UK pharmaceutical industry, including practical application of the ABPI Code of Practice, familiarity with Veeva Vault approval workflows and experience delivering compliant digital and marketing materials across print, digital and omnichannel platforms.

We are specifically looking for candidates with genuine pharmaceutical delivery experience rather than generalist project managers.

Key Responsibilities

Project Delivery & Management

  • Manage the end-to-end delivery of multiple pharmaceutical marketing and communications projects simultaneously
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams including creative, copy, medical, regulatory, QA, digital and external vendors
  • Develop detailed project plans, timelines, resource allocations and delivery schedules
  • Ensure all projects are delivered on time, within budget and according to agreed specifications
  • Monitor project risks, dependencies and issues and proactively implement mitigation strategies
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, status reports and workflow tracking
  • Oversee project approvals and asset management processes within regulated pharmaceutical environments
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to optimise delivery processes and operational efficiency

Client & Stakeholder Management

  • Serve as the day-to-day point of contact for pharmaceutical clients and internal stakeholders
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication and high-quality delivery
  • Lead client meetings, project updates, presentations and status reviews with professionalism and confidence
  • Manage stakeholder expectations effectively across multiple projects and business functions
  • Identify opportunities for account growth, improved delivery experiences and long-term client engagement
  • Ensure all client communications are handled promptly and professionally

Regulatory & Compliance Oversight

  • Ensure all deliverables comply with the ABPI Code of Practice and internal regulatory requirements
  • Work closely with medical and compliance teams to support approval and review processes
  • Manage and track assets through Veeva Vault or similar approval management systems
  • Maintain awareness of pharmaceutical industry regulations, compliance standards and best practices
  • Ensure accurate documentation and audit readiness throughout project lifecycles

Operational & Team Collaboration

  • Collaborate effectively with internal delivery teams, freelancers and external partners
  • Support workflow coordination across multiple parallel projects and accounts
  • Escalate delivery challenges and provide solutions-focused recommendations where necessary
  • Contribute to team meetings, operational planning and delivery improvement initiatives
  • Maintain a high standard of organisation, accountability and attention to detail in all activities

Required Skills & Experience

Essential Requirements

  • 3–5 years of experience in pharmaceutical project management, healthcare communications or regulated agency environments
  • Proven experience delivering pharmaceutical marketing, digital, medical education or communications projects
  • Strong understanding and practical application of the ABPI Code of Practice
  • Experience working with Veeva Vault or similar pharmaceutical approval workflow systems
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously
  • Strong client-facing, account management and relationship-building skills
  • Excellent communication, presentation and stakeholder engagement abilities
  • Experience working in fast-paced regulated environments with tight deadlines
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently while managing competing priorities effectively

Desirable Skills

  • Experience working within pharmaceutical agencies or healthcare communications agencies
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies such as Agile, Waterfall, PRINCE2 or Scrum
  • Exposure to omnichannel marketing campaigns and digital healthcare platforms
  • Understanding of medical, regulatory and legal review processes
  • Experience managing remote or cross-functional delivery teams

Education & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Life Sciences, Marketing, Business, Communications or a related field
