Location: Rise Corporate Office – Houston, TX
Compensation: $65,000 per year

Rise Association Management Group is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented, and team-focused Community Association Accountant to support the financial operations of a portfolio of homeowner associations.
This role is ideal for an accounting professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, takes ownership of responsibilities, communicates proactively, and follows through consistently. The successful candidate will be highly organized, responsive, and capable of managing deadlines and priorities with accuracy and professionalism.
We are looking for someone who not only has strong accounting skills, but who is also collaborative, accountable, and committed to being a reliable member of the team. This position requires someone who can work independently, communicate effectively, adapt to changing priorities, and ensure responsibilities are completed thoroughly and on time.

Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Perform daily bank reconciliations and accurately record transactions in the general ledger
- →Prepare and post journal entries in a timely manner
- →Maintain and update prepaid schedules and supporting documentation
- →Assist with accounts payable functions and payment processing as needed
- →Manage payment applications, transfers, and account reconciliations
- →Support month-end close processes and preparation of financial reports
- →Ensure financial statements and deliverables are completed accurately and within deadlines
- →Maintain organized financial records and supporting documentation
- Collaborate closely with Community Managers and internal departments to provide financial guidance and support
- Communicate proactively regarding deadlines, priorities, outstanding items, and potential issues
- Respond promptly and professionally to emails, Teams messages, and internal requests
- Assist with coverage planning and task coordination to ensure continuity during absences or PTO
- Support process improvements and contribute positively to overall team operations
- Maintain a high level of accountability, follow-through, and attention to detail in daily responsibilities
- Dependable and proactive professional with a strong work ethic
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
- Strong follow-through and commitment to completing tasks thoroughly and on time

Requirements
~1 min read- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or a minimum of 2+ years of accounting experience required
- Community association, HOA, property management, or real estate accounting experience preferred
- Strong understanding of bank reconciliations, journal entries, accounts payable, and month-end close processes
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems required
- Experience managing deadlines and high-volume workloads preferred
