$85,000-$125,000/year + Annual Incentive Bonus Eligibility

At RK, our Estimators play a critical role in shaping project success from day one. As an Estimator, you'll combine technical expertise, strategic thinking, and collaboration to develop competitive, accurate estimates that help secure new work and set projects up for successful execution. Working closely with Sales, Preconstruction, Operations, and field teams, you'll analyze scope, identify value engineering opportunities, and influence project strategy throughout the pursuit process.

And you won't build alone. RK's in-house fabrication, manufacturing, construction, and building services capabilities give our teams resources that many contractors simply don't have.

• Review project documents, including proposed plans, specifications, addenda, and related documents
• Identify scope of work, project requirements, constraints, and potential risks
• Identify scope gaps, clarifications, exclusions, and inconsistencies in proposal documents
• Perform material, labor, and equipment takeoffs with accuracy and consistency
• Obtain quotes and coordinate/quality scope with vendors and subcontractors
• Assist with preparing bid packages, proposals, and supporting documentation
• Validate compliance with codes, regulations, and client requirements.
• Evaluate all estimate components for accuracy and completeness before submission
• Develop new estimating methodologies, pricing strategies, and benchmarking tools to improve accuracy and competitiveness

• 2+ years of relevant estimating experience on industrial or commercial mechanical projects
• Knowledge of pipes, valves, and fittings
• Ability to provide direction for complex or high-value estimates
• Comfortable representing the estimating function in high-level internal and external discussions
• College/University graduate or equivalent combination of skills and experience generally expected for specified technical roles
