About the Role

Rosina Food Products is seeking an experienced Quality Control Manager to join our Food Safety & Quality Management team. The Quality Control Manager will provide day-to-day leadership to the Quality Control team while partnering closely with Operations, Food Safety & Quality, Product Development, Sanitation, Maintenance, Human Resources, and other departments. This individual will play an integral role in maintaining and continuously improving our quality systems while ensuring compliance with company, customer, and regulatory requirements.

We are looking for a hands-on leader who is comfortable working in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment, developing teams, solving complex quality issues, and driving accountability and continuous improvement.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead and oversee the day-to-day functions of the Quality Control department, including coaching, training, developing, and evaluating team members.
  • Maintain inspection systems, procedures, and quality standards to ensure finished products meet company, customer, and regulatory expectations.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable FDA, USDA, HACCP, GMP, GFSI, and other food safety and regulatory requirements.
  • Support the development, implementation, and ongoing effectiveness of food safety and quality management programs.
  • Lead the investigation and resolution of food safety and quality concerns, including root cause analysis (RCA), corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), and non-conforming product management.
  • Oversee product traceability requirements and ensure appropriate controls are maintained.
  • Manage and investigate customer complaints, coordinate cross-functional investigations, document findings, and ensure appropriate corrective actions are completed.
  • Partner with regulatory agencies, customers, vendors, and third-party auditors as necessary to address quality and food safety matters.
  • Support internal, customer, regulatory, and third-party inspections and audits.
  • Ensure manufacturing operations comply with established product specifications, quality policies, manufacturing practices, hygiene, and sanitation procedures.
  • Partner with Product Development and Operations during new product launches, scale-ups, and product modifications to ensure quality standards are achieved.
  • Support raw material acceptance, monitoring, specifications, and supplier/vendor quality programs.
  • Lead meetings related to quality concerns and drive action plans designed to prevent recurrence.
  • Develop department goals, staffing plans, schedules, and performance expectations while ensuring appropriate coverage and resources.
  • Participate in hiring, performance management, associate development, and other people-leadership responsibilities.
  • Collaborate across the organization to promote a strong culture of food safety, quality, accountability, and continuous improvement.

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Business, or a related field required, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant experience.
  • Minimum of 10 years of related experience in a technical, quality, food safety, or similar role.
  • Strong background in HACCP, GMPs, food safety, and quality principles.
  • Working knowledge of USDA and FDA regulations and applicable food manufacturing requirements.
  • Knowledge of food labeling requirements and regulatory compliance.
  • Previous experience with BRC, SQF, ISO, or similar quality/food safety systems strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience leading, coaching, and developing employees.
  • Strong root cause analysis, problem-solving, and corrective action skills.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments and at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to interact professionally with customers, auditors, vendors, and regulatory agencies.
