• Specialty: Anesthesiologist
  • Open to experienced providers or new graduates (Board Certified or Board Eligible within 5 years of completing residency)

• Demonstrated commitment to high-quality, patient-centered care

• Candidate Skills:
  • Comfortable with obstetric anesthesia
  • Comfortable placing central lines – particularly for use in the ICU
  • Will occasionally be called to assist with airway management in the ED and ICU
  • Case Types: General Surgery (Includes Thoracic), Urology, ENT, Orthopedics, OBGYN, Podiatry, TEE/Cardioversion. NO Hearts, Spine, Neurosurgery, Cardiac, EP, Complex Urology, ECMO or Pediatrics <2yrs
  • Proficient with Regional Anesthesia and Ultrasound Usage
  • Will perform anesthesia on all ages

• Position Location: Canton-Potsdam Hospital, Gouverneur Hospital, Massena Hospital

• Schedule:
• Regular OR hours are 7:30am – 3:30pm
• Main site (CPH) runs 7 rooms per day: 4 in the main OR and 3 in the Leroy Outpatient Center

• Call Coverage Requirements/Call Schedule:
  • 1/4 Call Coverage from home(20min response time)
  • 1 - 2nd call per week (Mon-Thurs)- no post call day- CRNA takes 1st call 6 days a week.
  • 1 - weekend call per month (Fri-Sun) -Friday/Sunday 2nd Call, Saturday 1st Call
• Call Frequency: SU-FR back-up call anesthesiologist typically receives 0-1 calls/night (10% of time). SA for primary call 2-4 calls/night (typically OB)
