These solutions rely on advanced algorithms capable of automatically detecting and identifying objects of interest in the fields of intelligence, defense, and aerospace.
Since joining the Safran Group in September 2024, Safran.AI has also been contributing to the Group’s transformation by applying AI solutions to Industry 4.0 challenges. For example, AI-powered automated image analysis can support inspectors responsible for checking critical components by helping them detect potential anomalies from digital images.
With a team of 250 employees, you will join passionate and multidisciplinary teams bringing together some of the most recognized talents in the industry, all driven by the same commitment to excellence and technological innovation.
As a Solution Architect based in Abu Dhabi, you are the primary technical point of contact for our prospects, clients, and partners in the Middle East and North Africa region.
Thanks to your experience in the defence sector ideally on intelligence solutions, you are able to independently demonstrate the value of Safran.AI solutions, from both a technical and functional standpoint.
Working alongside a Sales Manager also based in Abu Dhabi, you lead the technical scoping of business opportunities in order to propose high value-added solutions.
Responsibilities

Support the sales teams by leading workshops, presentations, and technical discussions with prospects;

Analyze prospects’ business and technical challenges, translate them into functional and technical requirements, and develop a vision for the solution;

Design solution architectures by evaluating different options against technical, functional, economic, security, scalability, performance, interoperability, and operational criteria. Then communicate these decisions through architecture deliverables tailored to different stakeholders, both internally and with prospects;

Identify technical risks and, when necessary, set up proofs of concept to validate choices;

Work closely with engineering, product, and deployment teams to validate the feasibility of architectures and any necessary custom development;

Contribute to the continuous improvement of the company’s Solution Architecture practices;

During project execution, you act as Safran.AI’s local technical representative. For smaller projects, you may take full technical responsibility, working closely with the Product, Engineering, Deployment, and Support teams to deliver on commitments, ensure the quality of deliverables, and implement high-value solutions aligned with our clients’ needs. For larger projects, a Technical Project Manager based in France leads the project, with you acting as their key local technical partner.

Our development teams use robust technologies such as Python, FastAPI, Typescript, Docker, PostgreSQL, Nomad, Kubernetes, Ansible, Terraform, Grafana, PyTorch, AWS, Notion, Slack.

We are first and foremost a software publisher, while also being fully capable of supporting our clients on integration and infrastructure challenges according to their needs. Our scope of intervention thus covers everything from providing ready-to-use Docker images to deploying a sovereign data centre, including the integration of our solutions within third-party systems such as GIS platforms, data platforms, or command software.
- You are passionate about innovative technologies and client relationships, enjoy international environments, and wish to grow within the demanding and stimulating world of defence:

You have at least 5 to 8 years of professional experience, with hands-on experience in custom software development. You are therefore comfortable understanding and addressing the needs of prospects requiring bespoke development, going beyond deployment and integration challenges alone. Ideally, you have prior experience as a Solution Architect.

You have significant international experience, ideally in the Middle East in defence and intelligence solutions;

You have a strong understanding of software architecture principles, as well as integration, interoperability, security, performance, and deployment considerations;

You are fluent in English, both written and spoken;

You have a strong sense of organization, rigor, and autonomy, and are able to manage multiple topics simultaneously in demanding environments;

You enjoy teamwork and acting as an interface between different internal teams and customers, and are able to bring these stakeholders together through excellent communication and synthesis skills.
