We're a busy, active household in Georgetown: two energetic boys, a very large, lovable golden retriever, and parents who are both deeply invested in their work and even more invested in their family time. Our goal is to end the day with intentional time together, which means our day needs to start with consistent, quality support.
Our lives are always in motion, which means things can pile up. We love what we do, but in order to maintain it, we need some help with the ever-growing lists and managing the bigger picture. We place a lot of emphasis on consistency, discretion, and respect, so the right person will put these values at the core of their work.
We've had wonderful help in the past, but our current house manager is transitioning out of the role. We are excited to find someone who can take the systems that have been created and fine-tune them, ensuring a smooth pass-off and taking things a step further for our family. We’re looking for someone we can trust and rely on over time; someone who takes pride in their work, respects our family dynamic, and feels like a natural extension of how our household operates.
You are someone who walks in, reads the room, and gets to work. You don't need to be managed once you're trained; you anticipate what's needed before anyone asks. You communicate clearly and efficiently. You’re warm and grounded, and while you enjoy building a genuine relationship with a family you are supporting, you understand and respect giving space for everyone to focus. While this is not a childcare role, you are engaging with children and they respond well to your calm, steady energy.
You follow through on everything, every time. A full day with a task left half-done isn't something that happens on your watch. You're organized in a way that feels natural, not performative. No task is too big or too small, and you bring the same consistency, care, and consideration to all items on your to-do list.
You understand discretion without needing it explained. You take ownership of the home's operations as if it were your own responsibility, and that ownership shows in the details — the laundry is done and put away, the fridge is clean, and the boys' sports bags are packed before anyone thinks to check. If any of this sounds like exactly who you are, we'd love to meet you.
