Production Supervisor - Schnucks Bakery Plant (Overland, MO)

JOB SUMMARY
Supervise all aspects of manufacturing and production. Plan production based on order projections, ad projections, and inventory. Provide leadership to subordinates to maximize production efficiencies and develop foreman’s for future leaders at the bakery plant.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
• Manage and schedule the flow of  production and finishing to accommodate store orders.
• Calculate production needs on a daily basis to accommodate store needs.
• Manage and direct all teammates on duty, during shift changes.
• Update formula/weight changes to insure correct information is up to date on labels and weights are accurate at time of production. Performs quality checks.
• Perform administrative duties, corrective actions, scheduling vacations/weekly schedules.
• Product development for new items.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
• Required Education: High school education
• Other Requirements: Management skills training/Seminars when available. A.I.B. Seminars as needed.
• Minimum Years of Experience: 1 to 3 years

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Knowledge

• Knowledge in all aspects of bakery production and mixing.
• Knowledge of temperature settings for rack/tunnel ovens for various and varieties produced.
• Knowledge of formulas to ensure accuracy, in both ingredient and weight changes.
• Knowledge of Baker's dozen program, Google Suite, and Microsoft programs.

Skills & Abilities

• Strong organizational skills and communication skills.
• Ability to identify product quality issues.
• Ability to adapt to climate/temperature changes etc.
• Ability to lead by example with a positive can-do attitude.

Work Environment

• Work most holidays, Overtime as needed, 5-8 hour shifts Monday-Sunday Day Shift Hours TBD  (weekends as needed). Very hot in summer time and 75% of shift walking and standing.

Additional Requirements – Internal Candidates:

• Store/Facility Teammates: minimum of six months employment with Schnucks preferred.
• Store Support Center Teammates: minimum of one year employment with Schnucks preferred.
• Must be in good standing (not on a performance improvement plan or active discipline).
