Sentara Norfolk General Hospital is hiring full-time Registered Nurse, Nursing Professional Development Generalist (Educator) for our Emergency Department, home to Hampton Roads’ only Level I Trauma Center. Responsibilities

At Sentara Norfolk General Hospital, Emergency Department nurses care for patients in one of the region’s most advanced and fast-paced clinical environments. Our 53-bed Emergency Department is equipped to manage a wide range of medical emergencies, with approximately 10% of cases related to trauma.

Sentara Norfolk General Emergency Department has been recognized with the Emergency Nurses Association Lantern Award, honoring exceptional and innovative leadership, practice, education, advocacy, and research.

Requirements

Bachelor's Level Degree, BSN in Registered Nursing Required

Registered Nurse license required
Basic Life Support (BLS), ACLS, and PALS required within 90 days of hire
NIHSS, TCRN, SCRN, TNCC, CEN preferred

Two Years of Clinical RN experience Required
Emergency Department, Level 1 Trauma experience preferred
Process Improvement, Project Management, and Nursing Education experience strongly preferred

We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, and benefits. The base pay range for full-time employment is $100,380.80 - $148,844.80 annually. Additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call pay, shift premiums, extra-shift incentives, or bonus opportunities. Compensation within the range may vary based on qualifications, experience, location, market conditions, and business needs. Note: If an annual salary is posted, it is based on a full-time colleague working 2,080 hours annually.
