About the Role
~1 min readJoin Seqwater and play a key role in delivering capital projects that improve and maintain essential water infrastructure across South East Queensland. As a Project Manager, you will lead the end-to-end delivery of natural and built asset projects, managing scope, budget, schedule, risk and stakeholder outcomes. Working with contractors, consultants and internal teams, you'll drive safe, high-quality project delivery while ensuring projects are completed efficiently, compliantly and to the highest professional.
This Project Manager role is within Asset Sustainability in the Dams, Weirs, and Civils Project Delivery Team. The role will be delivering predominately civil and mechanical design and construction scope within a 5 year approved Program of works.
- Qualifications in project management or similar, minimum Diploma level. level.
- Appropriate tertiary qualifications in engineering are highly desirable.
- Qualifications for Corporate Membership to the Institute of Engineers Australia or Australian Institute of Project Management will be held in high regard.
- Class C Driver's Licence.
- Demonstrated successful achievement of managing the delivery of natural and built asset projects of a complex and multi-disciplinary engineering nature, preferably in a water related environment.
- Experience in managing the delivery of projects and programs, including planning, organising, executing and reporting progress.
- Experience in the development of sourcing strategies and the preparation of business cases to obtain best value, including management of the procurement process and development and execution of contracts.
- Broad knowledge of water infrastructure and treatment systems.
- Experience in Contract Management.
- Proven high level knowledge of key areas of project management body of knowledge (PMBOK).
- Knowledge and experience in Australian standards and general conditions for contracting, contract law, quality assurance, environmental management and workplace health and safety management.
- Proven ability to lead and manage multi-disciplinary teams, consultants, and contractors to achieve corporate goals and project objectives.
- Highly developed verbal communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise, influence, and negotiate with key stakeholders, external and internal clients, team members, regulatory authorities, consultation groups and other staff.
- Highly developed written communication and computer literacy skills including Project scheduling, to compile and develop professional, technical, and quality documentation and management reports on the program.
