These services are required to support unique efforts which may require:

  • Meet minimum USAF EOS Student and Qualified Instructor requirements at government expense and IAW EOS-established policy
  • Serve as the focal point and SME in their respective discipline. When qualified, be prepared to assist and teach lessons in other disciplines as determined by the Site Manager.
  • Provide technical support, planning, consultation, analysis and expert advice to establish, maintain, and improve their respective area’s instruction.
  • Develop, update, revise, and deliver their respective area’s curriculum and courseware within USAF EOS-established policy.
  • Provide instruction on National Security Strategy, DoD regulations, Irregular Warfare, and more
  • Ensure the most current student education and training materials are used and are provided to each student at the beginning of each lesson, as required
  • Produce, assemble, and manage student materials as required to include paper and/or electronic (DVDs, etc.) based training materials provided by the Government
  • Prepare classroom for instruction and ensure academic equipment, projectors, televisions, computer learning stations, etc., including uploading of computer-based training, if applicable, are functional
  • Begin each lesson on time and teach for the prescribed amount of time IAW the student schedule unless the COR authorizes a schedule deviation
  • Perform instruction/demonstration and student evaluations as required by the syllabi and lesson plan. Maintain satisfactory or above on Government administered instructor evaluations.
  • Review learning objectives with students in preparation for examinations
  • Follows USAF EOS-established policy for make-up/remedial instruction for missed classes or failed examinations
  • Attend meetings, conferences, and symposiums on topics related to their area of expertise and participate in instructor professional development
  • Be prepared to teach lessons as directed by the Site Manager to balance instructor workload and to meet mission requirements

Specific Duties Related to Type of Instructor:

  • Provide instruction and evaluations to students on the fundamentals of Security Cooperation, Security Assistance, FMF/FMS process, funding/legal authorities or “colors of money” (i.e., Title 10 & 22), basics of contracting/quality assurance, fundamentals of Foreign Disclosure rules, Theater Campaign Planning, Theater Security Cooperation Plans, Country Plans, and other Security Cooperation related lessons.
  • Teach subjects such as, but not limited to Joint and Combined Planning, Security Cooperation/Security Assistance, Foreign Disclosure Awareness, Legal Awareness, Security Forces
  • Assistance Mission Analysis and Planning, Introduction to Resolute Support and other Contingencies, Theater Guidance, Aviation Enterprise Development, Systems Thinking, etc.
  • Liaison with functional community’s subject matter experts, including AMC/IA, AFSAT, SAF/IA, Air Force Geographic Component Commands, and other functional commands.
  • MAJCOMs; C-NAFs; other services; as well as other organizations to ensure curriculum remains relevant and current.

  • Ability to obtain/maintain Secret Clearance
  • Fluent English, advanced communication skills
  • U.S. Citizenship/Residency required
  • Must possess a valid passport and driver’s license
  • Master’s degree from an accredited college or university
  • Shall have deployed as a Military Advisor, Political-Military (Pol-Mil) Affairs Strategists (PAS) Officer, Regional Affairs Strategists (RAS) Officer, Foreign Area Officer (FAO), Foreign Provincial Reconstruction Team (PRT) member, attaché or security assistance officer (SCO), or in a position equivalent to one of the above having military advisory experience.
  • Completed Air Command and Staff College, Senior NCO Academy, or sister school equivalent, in-residence or by correspondence
  • Ability to collaborate and present in a classroom and cross-functional setting
  • Professional conduct and compliance with all USAF EC policies
  • Ability to teach, present, and manage classroom environments
  • Some lifting/moving of teaching materials/equipment; ability to stand for extended periods
