Staff Accountant

Reports to: Senior Accountant 
Firm: Skybox Capital LLC – Family Office & Private Equity

Skybox Capital is a dynamic family office and private equity firm investing across the capital structure, with a focus on middle-market private equity and incubating innovative businesses. Beyond investing, we actively build and operate a diverse portfolio of companies spanning industries as varied as lead generation, live event ticketing, collectibles, and e-commerce. We value curiosity, initiative, and a drive to learn — and we're looking for someone who shares those values.

We're seeking an entry-level Staff Accountant to support the day-to-day accounting for one of the operating companies under the Skybox umbrella. Here's what makes us different: rather than each portfolio company running its own siloed finance function, all accounting across Skybox's operating businesses is handled by one centralized team. That means you'll specialize in the company that best fits your strengths and our needs — while still getting exposure to how accounting works across a range of very different business models.

This is a hands-on role where you'll build a strong foundation in operational accounting, learn how real businesses run behind the scenes, and see firsthand how a family office manages and grows the companies it owns. No two of our businesses look alike, so you'll be learning constantly.

• →Record and organize incoming mail, payments, and invoices
• →Process bills and manage approvals through Bill.com
• →Prepare and post journal entries in NetSuite
• →Assist in month-end close and account reconciliations
• →Support financial reporting for your assigned operating company
• →Collaborate with the broader accounting team and operations leaders across our portfolio
• →Learn to use AI tools to streamline accounting tasks and data analysis
• →Contribute to ad hoc projects across finance and operations
