MD with an active, unrestricted medical license (or ability to obtain licensure) in Washington, D.C., Maryland, and Virginia.
Active DEA registration (or ability to obtain without restriction).
3+ years of experience providing medical direction and supervision, particularly with Medicare patients.
Board certified or board eligible in General Psychiatry.
Board certification or eligibility in Geriatric Psychiatry or Consult/Liaison Psychiatry is preferred.
Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC) participation is preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

→Provide Structured Care Review (SCR) to primary treating clinician through systematic case review and treatment plan oversight (average of 32 review hours per week and 6 to 10 patient reviews per hour). Focus on Medicare patients in market.
→Recommend any treatment adjustments, including specific medication and lab/imaging/study order recommendations, treatment plan adjustments, or advised clinical protocols directly with the primary care provider
→Provide high-quality, evidence-based care
→Work with adults, young adults, and/or children
→Support patients in crisis with appropriate interventions
→Complete timely, accurate documentation
