65718080326 - Client Sales Assistant
Quick Summary
submission, extensions, and renewals. Review active state contract availability and facilitate requests to add accounts to active or onboarded state contracts in coordination with the CSE.
Department: Inside Sales
Reports To: Director of Sales
Type: Full-Time Remote Contractor
Schedule: US Business Hours Alignment (EST / CST Focus)
The Client Sales Assistant (CSA) serves as the primary operational support to the East and West Client Sales Executives (CSEs) — owning the quoting, submission, order, and administrative functions that keep client deals (desktops, notebooks, workstations, monitors, peripherals, and associated client software and support) moving from request to delivery.
The CSA does not own customer relationships or generate revenue; those responsibilities belong to the CSE, which remains the primary customer contact. The CSA communicates with customers as needed to support deal execution. The CSA's purpose is to minimize the operational burden on CSEs, so they can stay focused on selling, customer business reviews, vendor engagement, and growing the client business across their territories.
100% Remote (Targeting LATAM or South Africa)
Responsibilities
~1 min read- Support the East and West CSEs' day-to-day operational needs — acting as the internal point of contact for client-related submissions, requests, and process coordination so the CSE remains customer-facing.
- Assist with client vendor and partner activities as directed by the CSE (Dell Technologies, Lenovo, HP, Apple, Microsoft, and others) — quote request support, program submissions, and partner coordination.
- Support pricing and discount requests by submitting vendor bids and special pricing requests and tracking approvals — the CSE leads all customer-facing negotiations.
- Communicate with customers on an as-needed basis (e.g., order status, delivery timing, catalog updates, and documentation requests), keeping the CSE informed; the CSE remains the primary customer contact and owns the relationship.
- Own vendor and internal escalations on client deals (e.g., special pricing expirations, product allocation, process exceptions); customer escalations are owned by the CSE.
- Prepare supporting materials for CSE-led EBiz business reviews and strategic customer meetings (purchase history, open orders, catalog status, and refresh forecasts).
- Build and refresh client and peripheral quotes using partner and internal tools as requested by the CSE, based on customer standards and approved catalog configurations.
- Coordinate vendor quote and special pricing refresh requests; monitor expiration dates and resubmit ahead of expiry so pricing remains valid.
- Review vendor quotes, internal quotes, and proposals for accuracy (configurations, SKUs, pricing, quantities, and shipping) before customer delivery.
- Submit quote and proposal revisions to the Deal Desk for correction and coordinate modification requests between the CSE and Deal Desk.
- Manage the sending of e-sign proposals once approved by the CSE and ready for customer delivery.
- Serve as the liaison between the CSE and the Deal Desk for CPQ quoting, deal registrations, and order activity on client deals.
- Submit net-new client deal registration requests and oversee the full lifecycle: submission, extensions, and renewals.
- Review active state contract availability and facilitate requests to add accounts to active or onboarded state contracts in coordination with the CSE.
- Track all open Deal Desk requests; proactively communicate status updates to the CSE and flag delays or issues before they impact deal timelines.
- Prepare and submit order packets for Deal Desk processing — confirm documentation is uploaded in Cloud Storage (Egnyte/Google Drive), opportunity/quote data is refreshed, and all special requests or escalations are clearly noted.
- Validate order packet completeness: confirm customer acceptance method requirements, quote expiration dates (internal and vendor), and any open compliance items prior to submission.
- Track open client orders through fulfillment — monitor ship dates, backorders, and vendor ETAs; proactively update the CSE and flag supply chain delays that may affect customer delivery.
- Coordinate change orders, returns/RMAs, credit requests, and process exceptions, after the CSE notifies leadership appropriately, engaging Deal Desk, Finance, or Operations as required.
- Coordinate post-sale operational requests.
- Maintain customer EBiz catalogs — add and retire SKUs, update pricing and configurations as models transition, and keep catalogs aligned with customer standards approved by the CSE.
- Support CSE-led onboarding of new EBiz customers, including catalog build and user setup coordination.
- Administer Try & Buy and SEED unit processes for client products — submission, tracking, and return or conversion follow-up.
- Support the CSE in maintaining accurate, up-to-date Salesforce records for all client accounts, contacts, opportunities, and activities.
- Facilitate the creation of Account, Opportunity, and Contact records in Salesforce — CSE initiates the request, CSA ensures execution and accuracy; Deal Desk executes account/contact creation per standard process.
- Support pipeline updates as requested by the CSE, including weekly Salesforce updates for Dell Technologies and other alliance partners. Ensure Salesforce accurately reflects those requests.
- Track client technology refresh cycles and warranty expiration dates across the CSE's customer base. Coordinate with the CSE to address proactively before expiration dates.
- Coordinate logistics for the CSE's client-focused webinar each half (registration, invitations, and follow-up lists) and help drive attendance for Lunch and Learns, product demos, and training sessions.
