Commercial Estimator - 15320

Position: Commercial Estimator
Salary Range: $1500 - $2000
Work hours: EST Full Time
PH candidates

Key Responsibilities:

1. Perform detailed and accurate quantity take-offs for materials and labor for Division 9 (Drywall, acoustical ceilings, insulation, painting, etc.) scopes of work.
2. Analyze and interpret construction documents, including blueprints, specifications, and project manuals.
3. Utilize estimating software (e.g., On-Screen Takeoff, Planswift, Bluebeam) to complete take-offs and build estimates. On-screen Takeoff experience is considered a plus
4. Collaborate with project managers, clients, and subcontractors to understand project requirements and scope.
5. Source and evaluate pricing from suppliers and subcontractors to ensure competitive bids.
6. Prepare and submit professional and well-organized bid proposals.
7. Identify potential project risks and opportunities and communicate them to the project team.
8. Maintain an organized and up-to-date database of project estimates, subcontractor bids, and supplier pricing.
9. Stay current with industry trends, material costs, and new technologies in Divisions 9.
10. Participate in pre-bid meetings as needed.

Qualifications:

1. Proven experience as a Commercial Estimator, with a strong focus on Division 9 and take-offs.
2. Solid understanding of commercial construction processes, materials, and methods.
3. Proficiency in estimating and take-off software (e.g., On-Screen Takeoff, Planswift, Bluebeam, etc.).
4. Excellent mathematical and analytical skills.
5. Degree/experience in structural engineering a plus
6. Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
7. Ability to read and interpret complex architectural and engineering plans and specifications.
8. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
9. Strong time management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
