About the company
We are a growing single-family office building out a dedicated commodity trading desk from the ground up. We operate with high autonomy, direct accountability, and zero bureaucracy. We value commercial drive, transparency, and execution over traditional corporate credentials.
Role Overview
We are seeking a commercially sharp, self-directed Commodity Trader to take ownership of our expanding physical commodities desk. In this position, you will lead trading operations across both hard commodities (metals and minerals like copper and nickel) and soft/agricultural commodities (such as sesame seeds, avocado oil, and dried fruits).
You will be stepping into a high-growth environment built from ground zero. There is no handholding here—you will be expected to leverage your existing market knowledge, establish trade flows, manage execution, and deliver measurable results from day one.
Core Responsibilities
- Trade Execution: Actively trade, manage, and expand physical portfolios across hard minerals (copper, nickel) and agricultural softs (sesame, specialty oils, dried fruits).
- Portfolio Development: Support the launch and scaling of new commodity lines, identifying supply arbitrage, off-take opportunities, and buyer channels across international jurisdictions.
- Commercial Negotiation: Own end-to-end commercial terms, pricing structures, and contract negotiations with buyers, suppliers, and logistics partners.
- Market Analysis & Risk: Monitor cross-border market conditions, regulatory shifts, and supply chain disruptions to optimize margins and mitigate exposure.
- Cross-Jurisdictional Operations: Coordinate cross-border deals seamlessly, adapting to non-standard trading hours to align with global market movements.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Proven Trading Track Record: Hands-on, verifiable experience trading both hard (minerals/metals) and soft (agri/specialty crops) commodities. 7 Years plus experience
- Commercial Drive: Strong deal-making acumen with a performance-oriented mindset focused on bottom-line results.
- Autonomy & Delivery: Ability to self-manage, set strategy, and execute independently without direct operational oversight.
- Global Mobility & Flexibility: Comfortable managing multi-jurisdictional trades and working fluid hours aligned with global markets (primarily UK business hours).
- Uncompromising Integrity: Absolute transparency, direct communication, and personal accountability in all dealings.
What We Offer
- Competitive Base + Upside: A monthly base with strong commission/bonus structures tied directly to profit generation.
- High Autonomy: Direct access to decision-makers without corporate red tape or recycled corporate workflows.
- Global Remote Work: Flexibility to work from anywhere in the world.
How to Apply
