Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 8:00 AM PST 

Target Compensation: $2,000 – $2,500 USD per month (Up to $3,000 USD/month benchmark for candidates with extensive specialty finish experience).

Our company is partnered with architects, general contractors, facilities teams, and marketing groups to deliver customized commercial space solutions. The company specializes in the design, manufacturing, and installation of custom architectural signage, wallcoverings, acoustic paneling, window film, and specialty interior/exterior finishes.

We are seeking a detail-oriented Construction Estimator to join our growing team. In this role, you will perform digital quantity takeoffs, manage bid opportunities, coordinate pricing with preferred union and non-union vendors/installers, and build accurate project estimates.

This position follows a structured, phased onboarding model—starting with digital quantity takeoffs before expanding into vendor pricing coordination and full bid creation.

• →Digital Quantity Takeoffs: Review architectural drawings, scope schedules, site plans, and specifications to perform detailed quantity takeoffs using Bluebeam or comparable software.
• →Bid Management: Track bid invitations, deadlines, and project updates within BuildingConnected and monitor incoming project inbox requests.
• →Vendor & Installer Coordination: Reach out to preferred union and non-union installation partners (e.g., Glazers union for window film, CYC for acoustics) to request and verify sub-tier labor/material quotes.
• →Estimate Development: Compile takeoffs, internal manufacturing costs, specialty material expenses, freight, and subcontractor quotes into comprehensive final estimates.
• →Risk & Scope Alignment: Identify missing or unclear project information early to ensure bid accuracy and prevent cost overruns.

• Phase 1 (Initial Start): Focus on mastering company product lines, architectural plan reading, workflow standards, and completing digital takeoffs in Bluebeam.
• Phase 2 (Development): Begin contacting preferred vendors and union installers to gather, evaluate, and integrate quote data into preliminary estimates.
• Phase 3 (Full Ownership): Take end-to-end ownership of assigned bid opportunities in BuildingConnected from initial plan review through final estimate submission.

• Experience: 2–5 years of experience in commercial construction estimating, plan reading, and quantity takeoffs.
• Software Skills: Hands-on proficiency with takeoff software (e.g., Bluebeam Revu, PlanSwift, On-Screen Takeoff, AutoCAD, or Revit).
• Technical Skills: Proven ability to read and interpret commercial architectural drawings, material schedules, and scope documents.
• Communication: Excellent written and spoken English communication skills for vendor follow-ups and internal collaboration. Bilingual capabilities (e.g., English/Spanish) are a plus.
• Platform Knowledge: Prior experience using BuildingConnected and managing specialty interior trade scopes (signage, acoustics, window film) is preferred.
