Construction Estimator - 21958

A US-based telecom infrastructure construction contractor is hiring a part-time Construction Estimator to review incoming bids, analyze the market, and prepare bids for the project management team.

The company receives a steady and growing flow of bids and RFPs, and its project managers do not have enough time to dig into the details of each one. You will take the first pass: read the bid documents, analyze line items against the market and past bids, and prepare a summary and a potential bid. You then sit down with the team to review it together. This is a partnership role, not a hand-off of the whole process. The role is part-time for the foreseeable future, and it could grow into a larger role if it proves valuable.

• Experience estimating or bidding in telecom construction
• Market analysis experience, including understanding individual line items and whether pricing is competitive
• Ability to review bid and RFP documentation and summarize it clearly
• Familiarity with the US construction market and US bidding
• Working proficiency with AI tools for research, with the judgment to verify results rather than rely on automated output

• Experience researching bids and past bid outcomes
• Experience with CRM tools (the team can teach its own system)
