  • Manage and oversee both e-commerce accounting operations and traditional brick-and-mortar retail accounting.
  • Manage, oversee, and complete the monthly close of the books.
  • Direct, coordinate, and leverage the existing third-party bookkeeping/accounting team (Accountrepreneur) who handle heavy research on revenue, cost of goods sold, and day-to-day transaction processing.

  • Handle, calculate, configure, and oversee cost accounting, cost per unit analysis, and Bill of Materials (BOM) logic across internal operations.
  • Monitor accounts receivable (AR), identify operational disconnects, and resolve invoice delivery issues (such as missing invoices or system integration gaps between inventory, ERP, and billing platforms).
  • Account for the complex variance between gross sales and net sales in traditional retail, including analyzing trade allowances, discounts, customer billbacks, and deduction reconciliations.
  • Manage accounting flows across multiple distribution channels, including direct-to-consumer subscriptions, Amazon, and major national retail chains.

  • Familiarity with SPS (or similar retail invoicing and electronic data exchange platforms used for retailer billing).
  • Solid understanding of cost accounting concepts, cost-per-unit structures, variable labor, facility overhead allocation, and Bill of Materials (BOM) setup.
  • Demonstrated experience handling complex inventory environments, in-house manufacturing operations, and intricate AR/invoicing data flows.

  • Highly diligent working style.
  • Strong problem-solving ability to spot inconsistencies, notice gaps, and resolve system or process issues proactive.
