Working Hours : Monday - Friday 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM EST
Overview of the Position
In this role you will be responsible for supporting our creative team by providing logo design, website design, branded collateral, and other marketing materials for our clients. Our two overarching goals for the team are to create exceptional designs and provide more in-depth design solutions to our clients. Design projects and tasks that you’ll be performing as a part of this job include, but are not limited to:
- Website/UI Design
- Logo designs
- Print and digital marketing collateral (including brochures, ads, flyers, ebooks, and more)
- Social media graphics (including profile imagery, cover imagery, branded posts, etc.)
- Stationery and business card designs
Expectations
- Deliver a continuous stream of designs in all the design categories identified above, ensuring first drafts are polished and client-ready, with keen attention to detail
- Take ownership of design projects after receiving initial art direction and a simple brief, from conception to completion, with minimal supervision
- Be ready to collaborate with team members along milestones in our design process, to ensure designs meet project objectives
- Communicate effectively and confidently explain design concepts to individuals who may not have a background in design
- Be the type of designer to bring creative solutions to the table, as opposed to waiting to be told what to do
Experience
- 5+ years of graphics and website design experience
- Proficiency in Figma, Canva, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign
- We use Figma as our main website/UI design tool. Any new designer coming on board must have vast experience on this platform
- Expert knowledge of Photoshop is essential to execute imagery manipulation, color-grading, layout design, and preparing files for development.
- Expert knowledge of Illustrator is essential to execute logo creation for our clients, as well as occasionally create or edit simple vector graphics for use in web design or collateral projects
- Expert knowledge of InDesign is essential to create marketing collateral, stationery and business cards, and similar pieces
- Up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to continuously improve design skills and outputs.
Additional Qualifications
- A portfolio of work that shows samples in all of the design types described above
- Self-motivated, must be comfortable taking the initiative and have the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Self-reliant, must be able to work autonomously, but also is aware when assistance is required by the team or management.
- Able to follow core processes and support documentation to successfully complete tasks.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills (English), someone who loves to ask good questions, gathers all relevant information, and ensures everyone involved in the project understands the customer's vision.
- Solution-focused approach, ability to bring ideas and solutions to the table when faced with roadblocks or challenges throughout a project.
Preferred
- Experience with project and task management systems, such as: Zoho, Asana, Monday, etc.
- Furry family members that can join the real MVPs at our company
