This role demands strong analytical skills, hands-on modeling expertise, and the ability to synthesize complex financial data into actionable insights. The ideal candidate has proven experience in CRE finance, can manage acquisition transactions independently, and has the potential to grow into a lead “deal quarterback,” driving end-to-end transactions and liaising with brokers and clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain detailed financial models for potential acquisitions, including discounted cash flow, IRR, and scenario analysis.
- Evaluate commercial real estate assets, performing due diligence and analyzing risk-return profiles.
- Monitor, forecast, and report on performance metrics for existing properties.
- Manage acquisition transaction processes, including coordination with brokers, attorneys, and internal stakeholders.
- Support strategic planning and investment decision-making by providing actionable financial insights.
- Progressively take on client/broker-facing responsibilities, representing the company in deal discussions.
Hard Skills / Technical Requirements
- 3–5+ years of commercial real estate finance, investment, or asset management experience.
- Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills (DCF, IRR, sensitivity analysis).
- Familiarity with CRE valuation, market research, and investment due diligence.
- Strong understanding of US commercial real estate metrics and reporting.
- Excellent written and spoken English; capable of professional communication with brokers, clients, and senior leadership.
Soft Skills / Behavioral Competencies
- Strategic thinker with ability to prioritize high-impact tasks.
- High attention to detail, organized, and methodical.
- Self-motivated and proactive; able to work independently in a remote environment.
- Growth mindset, willing to expand responsibilities toward deal execution.
About the Candidate
This role is best suited for candidates who:
- Have demonstrable experience in commercial real estate finance or investment.
- Are confident in building and presenting financial models to support acquisitions.
- Thrive in a fast-paced, high-responsibility environment.
- Are ready to grow into a senior contributor capable of managing deals end-to-end.
Why This Role Matters
The Finance Associate / Analyst ensures that all potential acquisitions are evaluated rigorously and strategically, providing leadership with the confidence to make data-driven investment decisions. By managing both modeling and transaction support, this role directly impacts the company’s ability to grow its portfolio efficiently and profitably.
