Senior Civils Estimator

The successful candidate must be willing to relocate from Latin America to Ireland.

The company will support and manage the relocation process for the successful candidate.

This is not a remote position. Once hired, the candidate will be expected to work on-site in Galway, Ireland.

• →Lead the preparation, pricing and submission of competitive tenders for civil engineering and utility infrastructure projects.
• →Manage all aspects of assigned tenders from initial enquiry through to submission and handover.
• →Review tender documentation, specifications, drawings and contract requirements.
• →Obtain, analyse and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations.
• →Develop accurate cost estimates, pricing models and bid strategies.
• →Collaborate with Design, Operations, Commercial and Project Delivery teams to develop winning tender solutions.
• →Identify and evaluate commercial risks, opportunities and value engineering proposals.
• →Prepare tender programmes and methodologies in conjunction with operational teams.
• →Support post-tender negotiations and client presentations where required.
• →Ensure all tender submissions align with quality, safety and environmental standards.
• →Provide detailed handovers to project delivery teams upon award.
• →Support and mentor junior estimators and members of the wider pre-construction team.
• →Maintain awareness of market conditions, supply chain developments and industry trends.

• Degree qualification in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or a related discipline.
• Significant estimating experience within civil engineering, utilities or infrastructure sectors.
• Strong understanding of Irish construction contracts and procurement processes.
• Experience pricing utility, power, telecommunications, water, gas or heavy civils projects is highly desirable.
• Excellent commercial awareness and analytical skills.
• Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, labour outputs and supply chain pricing.
• Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office applications.
• Exceptional organisational and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tender opportunities simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
