Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. 5+ years of relevant experience in financial planning, analysis, or client finance. Direct experience within an integrated marketing or agency environment.
Responsibilities

Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual budgeting and forecasting processes.

Prepare management reporting packages, including variance analyses and KPIs.

Partner with department heads to track expenses, identify trends, and optimize cost efficiency.

Assist in long-range planning, scenario modeling, and strategic initiatives.

Support the development and implementation of financial systems and tools to improve reporting and analytics.

Monitor agency cash flow projections closely.

Collaborate with account management and operations to prepare client estimates, staffing plans, SOWs, and reconciliations.

Monitor client profitability and ensure adherence to contractual terms and billing schedules.

Analyze revenue recognition and ensure timely and accurate invoicing according to client agreements.

Identify and flag out-of-scope work and support account teams with change orders.

Track and report client KPIs and margins to internal stakeholders.

Serve as the primary point of contact between the agency and the external accounting provider.

Provide timely financial data, schedules, and documentation to support monthly close, account reconciliations, and audits.

Review financial statements prepared by the accounting team for accuracy and completeness.

Ensure proper application of revenue recognition policies and agency accounting practices.

Collaborate with the accounting team to improve workflow, financial processes, and system integrations.
Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.

5+ years of relevant experience in financial planning, analysis, or client finance.

Direct experience within an integrated marketing or agency environment.

Strong financial modeling, forecasting, and data analysis skills.

Proficiency in Excel and financial systems such as NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and/or SAP.

Hands-on experience with Python and BI tools.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact with both finance and non-finance stakeholders.

High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Familiarity with agency financial models and media billing practices is a plus.
