Pay Range : $3,000-5,000USD/month (varies based on skill set and experience level)

Our client is a U.S.-based technology and security solutions provider delivering integrated IT, cybersecurity, and enterprise physical security systems to commercial, education, and enterprise customers across the United States.

The company operates as a hybrid IT + physical security engineering organization, supporting real-world deployments of systems such as video surveillance, access control, intrusion detection, and enterprise networking.

Their engineering team plays a critical role in bridging physical hardware with software platforms to deliver fully functioning security ecosystems for customers in high-demand environments.

The company's engineering organization is highly operational and customer-driven, meaning engineers are directly involved in live deployments, system configuration, troubleshooting, and customer-facing technical support in real environments.

We are hiring a Senior Genetec Engineer to join the company’s engineering team at a critical growth phase ahead of a major seasonal workload increase.

This role is deeply hands-on and centered around Genetec-based video surveillance systems, supporting both configuration and programming of deployed systems across enterprise environments.

You will act as a senior technical resource within a 9-person engineering team and help ensure systems are deployed, integrated, and maintained at a high level of reliability during peak operational demand.

This is a high-impact, production-facing engineering role, not a product development position.

• →Configure, deploy, and support Genetec-based video surveillance systems in live environments
• →Act as a senior technical resource for system architecture, troubleshooting, and escalation support
• →Work directly on customer-facing tickets and operational engineering issues
• →Integrate hardware systems (cameras, access control devices, sensors) with software platforms
• →Utilize Genetec SDK for system extensions, integrations, and customization
• →Support system commissioning and deployment for enterprise clients
• →Collaborate with operations and field engineering teams during active installations
• →Provide technical leadership and guidance to junior engineers as the team scales
• →Help stabilize and support systems during high-volume seasonal deployment cycles

• Strong hands-on experience with Genetec
• Proven background in video surveillance, physical security systems, or enterprise VMS environments
• Ability to configure and troubleshoot production security systems
• Experience working in customer-facing or operational engineering environments
• Strong troubleshooting skills across hardware + software integration layers
• Ability to work consistently in US time zones (customer support alignment required)

• Genetec certification (strongly preferred)
• Experience with Milestone Systems or other VMS platforms
• Experience using SDKs for integrations or system customization
• Background in software engineering or systems engineering
• Exposure to Microsoft-based environments (enterprise IT ecosystems)
• Prior experience managing or collaborating with offshore engineering teams

• 5–15+ years in video surveillance, security engineering, or related technical fields
• Strong “hands-on operator” who can contribute immediately in production environments
• Comfortable working across hardware + software layers in complex deployments
• Able to operate independently with minimal ramp-up time
• Strong communicator in customer-facing technical situations
• Experience in high-volume or seasonal deployment environments is a plus
• Bonus: prior experience in Genetec SDK-level development or integration work

• Engineering team: 9 total (6 project engineers, 3 service engineers)
• Heavy Genetec-focused environment supporting enterprise deployments
• Currently at capacity entering a high-demand season (~30 days ramp urgency)
• Prior offshore engineering experience exists but exposed time-zone inefficiencies
• Strong preference for US-hour-aligned talent (LATAM, South Africa, Eastern Europe preferred)
