SU - Systems Engineer

Role Description

This is a full-time remote role for a Systems Engineer at a rapidly growing global company. The Systems Engineer will be responsible for designing, deploying, and maintaining IT infrastructure and systems. This role requires expertise in systems integration, network management, and troubleshooting, with a focus on optimizing performance, security, and scalability.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in systems engineering, IT infrastructure, or a related field.
• Proficiency in managing and configuring operating systems such as Windows, Linux, or macOS.
• Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Strong knowledge of networking protocols, firewalls, and VPNs.
• Expertise in scripting or programming languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Familiarity with virtualization technologies such as VMware, Hyper-V, or KVM.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on system performance and security.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

System Design & Implementation:

• Plan, design, and deploy scalable IT systems and infrastructure to meet business needs.

System Maintenance & Troubleshooting:

• Perform routine maintenance and upgrades for servers, networks, and other IT systems.
• Identify and resolve hardware, software, and network issues promptly.

Cloud Infrastructure Management:

• Manage and optimize cloud-based solutions, ensuring uptime, security, and cost efficiency.

Network Administration:

• Configure and maintain network devices such as routers, switches, and firewalls.
• Ensure reliable connectivity and efficient data transmission across the organization.

Security Management:

• Implement and maintain security measures to protect systems against unauthorized access, malware, and data breaches.
• Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.

Automation & Scripting:

• Develop and maintain automation scripts to streamline IT operations and improve system efficiency.

Documentation & Collaboration:

• Maintain detailed documentation of systems configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure systems align with organizational goals.

Compensation

• $1,500 - $3,000 per month, paid in USD depending on experience and skill level.
