A U.S.-based mechanical services organization specializing in HVAC and advanced system operations, supporting commercial and industrial environments. The company focuses on system performance, reliability, and proactive service through data-driven insights and strong field execution.
The VRF Analyst supports the service organization by monitoring VRF (Variable Refrigerant Flow) systems, analyzing operational data, and translating system alerts into clear, actionable direction for technicians and service leadership.
This role plays a critical part in improving response times, reducing diagnostic effort in the field, and identifying system issues before they escalate.
The ideal candidate has hands-on familiarity with VRF systems and is comfortable working with system data, alarms, and performance trends.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- Monitor VRF systems daily to identify alarms, faults, and performance issues
- Prioritize alerts based on severity and operational impact
- Distinguish between critical failures and non-urgent performance issues
- Escalate urgent issues for immediate field response
- Analyze system data and historical performance trends
- Identify root causes behind alarms and system deviations
- Detect recurring issues and patterns across monitored systems
- Provide clear diagnostic insights to technicians before site visits
- Support service operations and VRF-related projects
- Assist with system commissioning and monitoring setup validation
- Review repeat service cases to identify underlying system issues
- Collaborate with field teams to improve troubleshooting efficiency
- Identify repair needs, system deficiencies, and optimization opportunities
- Support development of repair scopes and improvement plans
- Recommend actions to improve system reliability and performance
- Prepare system health summaries and performance reports
- Maintain accurate system documentation and monitoring records
- Ensure data is organized and accessible for ongoing analysis
- Hands-on experience with VRF HVAC systems (installation, commissioning, or troubleshooting)
- Working knowledge of HVAC system operations and controls
- Ability to interpret system alarms, faults, and performance data
- Experience using HVAC monitoring tools or diagnostic software
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to translate technical findings into clear, actionable insights
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
Requirements
