The opportunity ahead

Spotnana is looking for an Accountant to join our growing global Finance team. Reporting to the Corporate Accounting Manager, you’ll partner with stakeholders across the business to strengthen, refine, and scale our accounting close processes as we continue to scale globally. We’re looking for someone with excellent interpersonal and critical-thinking skills who can collaborate with diverse teams across the organization and deliver accurate, timely financial insights — a great opportunity to help build a world-class accounting team!

How you'll help us build

Maintain accurate corporate accounting records and support a timely, accurate financial close in accordance with US GAAP
Prepare month-end and recurring journal entries and reconcile balance sheet accounts for various areas including cash, prepaids, accruals, and capex
Support the weekly reconciliation and posting of corporate card and expense reimbursement batches
Complete bank reconciliations for all of our entities
Identify and help implement process improvements — including automation — that increase the accuracy and efficiency of our close process
Partner with FP&A team on expense variances and research any discrepancies
Take on special projects that support the team as we scale
Collaborate with the AP team providing accounting and backup support

Experience you bring

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field; CPA (or progress toward one) is a plus
A minimum of 1 year of accounting or related experience; experience in travel, technology, or a high-growth startup a plus
Experience supporting yearly audits
Strong working knowledge of US GAAP and its application to day-to-day accounting processes
Proficiency with ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics experience a plus) and advanced Excel, MS Office, and/or Google Workspace skills
Strong communication and documentation skills, with the ability to build relationships across cross-functional teams
High attention to detail, a proactive mindset, and the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment
A flexible, adaptable mindset that’s comfortable with change and new processes
Solid organization and time-management skills and able to meet multiple deadlines

The base salary range for this role is $75,000 – $100,000 per year, depending on a number of factors including the candidate’s working location.
