Estimator II

Superior Skilled Trades is seeking an experienced Estimator II for a direct hire opportunity. This position will develop accurate construction estimates from the preliminary stages through final bid and work closely with project management, engineering, procurement, vendors, and subcontractors.

• →Prepare estimates for materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractors.
• →Review drawings, specifications, contract requirements, and other project documents.
• →Perform quantity takeoffs, including area and volume calculations.
• →Identify project risks, conflicts, and unknowns and prepare RFIs as needed.
• →Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor quotes.
• →Develop scopes of work, budgets, estimates, and bid packages.
• →Clearly communicate pricing methodology and estimate assumptions.
• →Coordinate with Project Managers, Regional Managers, engineers, procurement, and subcontractors.
• →Complete estimate handoffs to operations following successful awards.
• →Meet bid deadlines while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.

• Construction estimating experience preferred.
• Construction and/or coatings industry experience is a plus.
• Strong understanding of construction methods and sequencing.
• Excellent math, analytical, organizational, and time-management skills.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and ability to quickly learn estimating software.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• College education in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
