HVAC Technician

*Key Responsibilities: *

1. *Preventative Maintenance: *

- Review and monitor preventative maintenance schedules for:

- Refrigeration systems at various restaurants and food outlets

- Ice machines on all floors and throughout the resort

- Air conditioning units in restaurants, meeting rooms, retail shops, offices, guest rooms and public spaces

- Ensure all maintenance activities are completed, recorded and schedules maintained according to maintenance cycles

2. *Chiller Maintenance: *

- Maintain and repair air-cooled and water-cooled chillers

- Perform routine inspections and maintenance tasks to ensure optimal performance, including review of logs to predict and prevent failures where possible

- Troubleshoot and repair chiller-related issues

3. *Technical Expertise: *

- Provide technical expertise where required

- Ensure all work is performed to the highest industry standards of quality and safety

- Stay up to date with industry developments and best practices

4. *Troubleshooting: *

- Troubleshoot and repair complex HVAC issues

- Identify and address potential problems before they become major issues thus reducing downtime or interruption of operation

- Collaborate with other departments to resolve issues and improve efficiency

1. *Experience: * 3+ years of experience in HVAC maintenance and repair, preferably in a hospitality or commercial setting

2. *Skills: *

- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, including refrigeration, air conditioning, and chiller systems

- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

- Good communication and interpersonal skills

3. *Certifications: *

- Relevant certifications as a HVAC technician

- Other industry-recognized certifications may be beneficial

1. *Work Environment: * Various locations within the resort, including mechanical rooms, rooftops, and outdoor areas

2. *Physical Demands: * Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, with frequent standing, walking, and lifting
