Stanley Consultants is currently seeking an Architect to join our growing Architecture Practice in the State of Texas. Our work often includes complex, multi-disciplinary projects such as institutional campuses, mission-critical facilities, district energy systems, and central utility plants. This position requires exercising architectural judgment while executing design tasks within a collaborative, multi-disciplinary environment.
The successful candidate will work with senior architects and mentor junior staff members. This role offers exposure to technically challenging projects and the opportunity to develop skills across planning, design, and construction.
Serving in a variety of roles within project teams: May support senior architect or serve as the architectural lead on projects from inception through construction.
Collaborating with mechanical, electrical, structural, and civil engineers to support integrated building and infrastructure solutions.
Supporting planning and assessment efforts, including facility evaluations and campus planning initiatives.
Executing technical architectural tasks across a variety of project types including State/Government, Higher Education, Federal, Municipal, Institutional, Commercial, Healthcare, and Industrial.
Supporting design development with consideration for constructability, phasing, and ongoing operations in active facilities.
Conducting life safety analyses and code compliance reviews.
Preparing architectural construction drawings using AutoCAD and Revit.
Researching and compiling information for use in writing specifications.
Performing construction observation and preparing field reports.
Participating in construction phase services, including coordination with contractors, review of submittals, and responses to RFIs.
Meeting project objectives related to scope, schedule, and budget.
Attending onsite and offsite client meetings.
Assisting with technical problem solving related to existing facility constraints and coordination between building systems.
Must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from an accredited college or university. Master’s of Architecture is preferred, but not required.
Must possess a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
Must be a Texas Registered Architect and have a NCARB Certificate.
Strong AutoCAD and Revit skills.
Experience with Texas government and higher education design.
Demonstrated ability to deliver multiple projects concurrently, with understanding of interdisciplinary design and coordination.
Knowledge of construction techniques and ability to read drawings and specifications.
Ability to travel up to 15% domestically and internationally
- LEED / Sustainability Accreditation.
- Experience with US military planning and design, including Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC) codes and standards.
- Interior design experience with NCIDQ (National Council for Interior Design Qualification) certification.
