Laundry Attendant

Description

Are you dependable, detail-oriented, and take pride in keeping things clean and organized? DoubleTree by Hilton Augusta is seeking a reliable Laundry Attendant to help ensure our hotel maintains the highest standards of cleanliness and guest comfort. In this role, you will be responsible for washing, drying, folding, and distributing linens and towels while supporting our housekeeping team. • Load articles into washer and make sure correct code is entered into machines. 
• Wash clothes according to StepStone and hotel standards. 
• Sort dried articles based on item type and check for stains and damage. 
• Fold and place items in appropriate storage racks. 
• Use bio-red bags for contaminated articles when they are found. 
• Soak articles according to procedure in bleach. 
• Check and clean all filters on washers and driers every two hours. 
• Make rounds to pull dirty linen from the housekeeping carts as needed. 
• Assist with monthly linen inventory. 

Requirements

• Must have a knowledge of the English language to effectively communicate with guests, associates, and vendors. 
• Ability to accurately report information. 
• Ability to follow all StepStone and hotel policies and procedures. 
• Attend required meetings. 
• Understands and communicates the StepStone Mission and Core values. 
• Expresses ideas and conveys information clearly, effectively, and professionally. 
• Minimum lifting of 20 pounds. 
• Pushing, bending, stooping, upward reaching, manual dexterity. 
• Hearing, writing, typing. 
• Minimum pulling of 20 pounds. 
• High school education preferred. Relevant training and experience required. 
• Must have a comprehensive knowledge of all hotel departments and functions. 
• Other duties may be assigned.
