Enrolled Nurse Auxiliary will be responsible for direct and/or in direct nursing care of a patient or group of patients and will function under the direct and/ or indirect supervision of the Registered Nurse.

The team member will perform nursing duties in accordance with the South African Nursing Council (SANC), Department of Health (DOH) and National Core standards

Responsibilities

  • →Grade 12 or equivalent NQF level 4 qualification.
  • →Enrolled Nursing Auxiliary qualification.
  • →Current registration with South African Nursing Council (SANC).
  • →BLS qualification advantageous.
  • →Minimum of 5 years as an enrolled nurse assistant.
  • →Post-Op nursing experience
  • →Floor nurse and Anaesthetic experience
  • →Knowledge and understanding of the principles of sterilisation, disinfection, and aseptic and sterile technique.
  • →Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and patient safety.
  • →Knowledge of Infection Control & Prevention.
  • →To demonstrate an understanding of the surgical procedure by anticipating the needs of the multi-disciplinary team members.
