Background:
Strategic Risk Solutions (SRS) is an independent, privately owned global insurance management and consulting firm specialising in captives, alternative risk financing, insurance and reinsurance program management, and related advisory services.

Job Summary:
This role is responsible for leading the delivery of compliance services to SRS and its clients, ensuring the risk management framework and control environment is maintained to the highest standard.

Key Accountabilities:

Act as Compliance Officer, MLCO, and MLRO for SRS in Guernsey.
Member of the Risk & Compliance Committee.
Acting as the MLCO and MLRO for a small number of life insurance client companies which are business to business entities.
Design and monitoring the implementation of the annual Compliance Monitoring Program and report quarterly on the progress.
Monitor the effectiveness of compliance systems and oversee the conduct of periodic checks and audits.
Report to the Board on compliance with GFSC regulatory requirements.
Review new policies and procedures.
Acts as the primary contact for the GFSC coordinating communications and requirements.
Maintaining an open and cooperative relationship with regulatory authorities on GFSC risk assessments and compliance monitoring actions, scopes and reports.
Stay informed about changes in laws and regulations that impact compliance obligations and provide advice to the firm and to the Board on compliance/regulatory matters.
Coordinate the Risk & Compliance Committee meetings.
Engage in ongoing learning about industry standards, guidelines, best practices, and methodologies.
Co-ordinate action plans related to GFSC risk assessment, compliance execution, and risk and compliance reporting.

Skills, Experience and Attributes:

Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks, particularly GFSC requirements, with the ability to interpret and apply them effectively.
Excellent organisational and analytical skills, with the ability to design and monitor compliance programs and conduct audits.
Effective communicator with strong verbal and written skills.
Proactive and detail-oriented, with the ability to identify compliance risks and implement appropriate controls and action plans.
Skilled in policy review and development, ensuring internal procedures remain aligned with evolving regulatory standards.
Strong leadership and coordination skills, with experience managing committees and cross-functional compliance initiatives.
Ability to stay current with changes in laws, regulations, and industry best practices, and translate these into practical guidance.
High level of integrity and discretion, with a commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
