Systems Engineer - Mid Level - Ground Tactical Vehicles

• Location: Quantico, VA 
• Security Clearance: Eligible to Obtain - U.S. citizenship required
• Salary: $90,000 - $120,000 Depending on Experience and Education
• Travel: 20%

Position Summary

SURVICE Engineering is currently seeking a Systems Engineer - Mid Level - Ground Tactical Vehicles to support our Washington Area Operation. You will accelerate your career and become an integral team member within the defense community.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities of Systems Engineer - Mid Level - Ground Tactical Vehicles

• The candidate shall provide professional mechanical, automotive, and systems engineering expertise and services
  in direct support of the United States Marine Corps (USMC)

• Program Manager – Motor Transport and associated portfolio of vehicles and trailer
  systems. Primary areas of technical support services include: Computer Aided Design (CAD) and Technical Data Development and Management; including use of Solidworks, Creo, and Windchill as primary software packages.

• Conduct of technical analysis; Engineering Change Proposal (ECP) development, systems integration; configuration management; and data management; and the preparation and generation of reports and technical documents.

• Support to PM Motor Transport Additive Manufacturing process development and initiatives.

• The candidate shall provide engineering analysis to include automotive design; systems integration; vehicle performance
  predictions; test planning and execution; and technical reporting.

• The candidate shall support PM Motor T in conducting SE Technical Reviews for system-level and subsystem-level designs and ECPs. The candidate shall prepare and update technical documentation as outlined in accordance with the Defense Acquisition Guidebook and USMC Systems Engineering (SE) policy and requirements.

• The candidate shall review vendor technical data in accordance with American Society of Mechanical Engineers
  Y14.100 Standards as well as MIL-STD-31000 and provide technical assessments of vendor and Government test data.

• The candidate shall interface with the Government functional leads, platform teams and lead engineers to
  coordinate engineering inputs, support technical document development, and assessment of technical requirements.

Minimum Qualifications of Systems Engineer - Mid Level - Ground Tactical Vehicles
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering and 3+ years of relevant experience. Candidates are not required to possess all qualifications; is you possess some of the desired qualifications, please apply.

Desired Experience

• USMC / DoW Systems Engineering including management of Technical Reviews and development of ECPs.
• Technical knowledge of ground military vehicles.
• Strong experience in management and development of system level CAD models using SolidWorks and Creo.
• Experience in technical data management and configuration management using Windchill and CMPro.
• Knowledge / Experience with additive manufacturing.
• Capable of independently writing and developing technical briefs, reports, and correspondence.
• Experience in requirements development, test and evaluation, production quality, and Finite Element Analysis are all solid traits to have.
