Apparel Product Development Intern

tasc is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Apparel Product Development Intern to join our Product team in New Orleans. This part-time internship offers hands-on experience across the apparel creation and product development process, from seasonal concept development through execution.

The ideal candidate is a college student pursuing a career in the fashion and apparel industry, with a strong interest in product development, design, and the active lifestyle market. This person should have a strong eye for color and detail and be eager to learn in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. The intern will work closely with the Product Development Manager and cross-functional teams to support seasonal collections while helping maintain tasc Performance’s brand identity, quality, and product integrity.

• →Support the Product Development Manager throughout the seasonal apparel creation process
• →Participate in development meetings as needed, take detailed notes, and track follow-up items and action items
• →Track, organize, and assist with approval of lab dips
• →Maintain a seasonal library for color matches
• →Maintain product imagery for RepSpark (wholesale website)
• →Maintain organization of all development samples
• →Organize SMS samples in the showroom
• →Provide support for photoshoots and events as needed
• →Build positive, collaborative relationships across all departments.
• →Take initiative to support additional projects and responsibilities as needed

• Currently enrolled in college and pursuing a degree with a strong interest in building a career in the fashion and apparel industry.
• Strong interest in apparel, activewear, and the modern active lifestyle.
• Highly organized, self-motivated, and adaptable, with a strong willingness to learn, take direction, and execute tasks independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to communicate professionally with global vendors and demonstrate sensitivity to different cultures, customs, and business practices.
• Strong eye for color and product detail.
• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator. Photoshop skills are a plus.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Collaborative, positive attitude with a willingness to jump in wherever needed.

This internship provides hands-on exposure to the apparel product development lifecycle and the opportunity to work alongside a creative, collaborative team. You will gain practical experience in color, print, and trim development, vendor communication, and the process of bringing apparel products from concept to completion.
